Is Route Shipping Protection required?
No. Route Shipping Protection is optional. Customers can choose whether to include Route Shipping Protection during checkout before submitting an order.
What is Route Shipping Protection?
Route Shipping Protection is an optional paid protection service that can provide additional coverage for eligible shipment issues such as lost packages, stolen packages after delivery, and items damaged during shipment.
When Route is selected at checkout, Route provides a direct claim path for eligible covered shipment issues. This can be helpful because standard carrier claims or seller shipment reviews may have different limits, timelines, documentation requirements, or exclusions.
Why customers may choose Route
Customers may choose Route Shipping Protection for added peace of mind during delivery. Route may help with eligible claims involving:
- Packages lost in transit
- Shipments damaged during transit
- Packages stolen after carrier-confirmed delivery, sometimes referred to as porch piracy
Stolen-after-delivery claims are one of the key reasons customers choose Route. Standard carrier coverage may be limited once tracking shows a package was delivered, and carrier claims may not cover theft after delivery.
Route can often provide a faster and more direct resolution path than a standard carrier claim. Carrier claims may take longer to review, may require additional documentation, and may still be denied depending on the carrier’s findings and claim rules.
Route claims are managed directly by Route according to Route’s terms, coverage, and eligibility requirements. IDJNOW does not approve, deny, or administer Route claims.
How Route appears at checkout
During checkout, Route Shipping Protection may appear as an optional shipping protection selection. Please review your order summary carefully before submitting your order to confirm whether Route is included.
- If Route is selected: Route Shipping Protection will be added to your order for the displayed fee.
- If Route is not selected: Route Shipping Protection will not be added to your order.
If your shipment is lost, stolen, or damaged
If Route Shipping Protection was selected for your order and your shipment is lost, stolen, or damaged, filing a claim directly with Route is usually the fastest and primary next step.
If you did not select Route
If Route Shipping Protection was not selected, or you are not sure whether Route was included on your order, please submit a request to IDJNOW. Our team will review your order, tracking, shipment details, and available next steps.
If you did not intend to select Route
Please review your order summary before submitting your order. Once an order is placed, Route coverage may be activated through Route’s system and may not be removable or refundable after the order is submitted.
If you believe there was an issue with your Route selection, please submit a request and include your order number and a short description of the issue. IDJNOW will review the details and let you know what options, if any, are available.
