How do manufacturer warranties work?

Many new products sold by IDJNOW include a manufacturer warranty. Warranty coverage, length, registration requirements, service options, repair approval, replacement approval, and claim decisions are controlled by the product manufacturer.

IDJNOW is an authorized dealer for many brands we sell, but IDJNOW does not create, approve, deny, extend, or modify manufacturer warranty coverage unless specifically confirmed in writing.

What a manufacturer warranty may cover

Manufacturer warranties commonly cover certain defects in materials or workmanship during the manufacturer’s warranty period. Coverage varies by brand, product type, country, purchase date, and the manufacturer’s current warranty terms.

Warranty coverage may not include damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation, unauthorized repair, wear and tear, cosmetic damage, power issues, water damage, modified products, missing serial numbers, or other exclusions listed by the manufacturer.

What you may need for warranty service

If you need warranty help, the manufacturer or service provider may ask for:

  • Your IDJNOW order number or proof of purchase
  • The product name, model, and SKU
  • The serial number, if available
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos or video showing the issue, if helpful
  • Details about troubleshooting already completed
  • Original packaging, accessories, manuals, or included parts, if requested

If your item arrived defective or stopped working shortly after delivery

If your item arrived defective, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or stopped working shortly after delivery, please report the issue as soon as possible, preferably within 7 days of delivery.

Keep the product, retail box, shipping box, packaging materials, accessories, manuals, and labels until the review is complete.

If your item needs service after the initial delivery period

If the item has been used for a longer period of time, warranty service may need to be handled directly through the manufacturer or an authorized service provider.

IDJNOW may help point you in the right direction when possible, but the manufacturer determines warranty eligibility, repair options, replacement options, service location, turnaround time, shipping requirements, and final claim outcome.

Do warranty terms vary by manufacturer?

Yes. Warranty terms can vary widely by manufacturer and product type. Some products may require registration, some may have different parts and labor coverage, and some may have exclusions or service steps that are specific to that brand.

For the most accurate and current warranty information, please review the manufacturer’s official warranty page or contact the manufacturer directly.

Need help finding the right warranty contact?
